Salisbury Cathedral Tower Tour
This project started off life as a personal visit to Salisbury Cathedral and tour of the tower. With the considerable help of Tim Garroway-Jones (the tower tour guide) I developed the project further. The film lasts for about half an hour. It starts by looking at the outside of the Cathedral, then goes inside for a short tour round the normal part of the Cathedral which visitors normally see. Then we meet Tim, our guide, and begin the Tower Tour.
The tour takes us up to the clerestory levels, across the great West Window and up into the roof space. Then into the base of the tower, ultimately to the '8 doors level' which is about 220 feet above ground level. There are some magnificent views from here!
