Woodgreen Millennium Festival
Sunday, July 16th 2000, the villagers of Woodgreen enjoyed their millennium celebrations. There was a street party, two bands, sideshows, stalls and plenty of food to go round. During the afternoon, the Godshill Players performed a short play with a local theme. The film captures the events of the day.
The street party Like the hat, David!
The band played for most of the afternoon. Face painting is always popular.
Sweets and drinks sold well, who could resist?
Godshill Players performed a play, written by Miranda Whitehead, called
'A Nice Cup of Tea', set in the time of King George.
The play was enjoyed by all!
The Woodgreen Millennium Celebrations film runs for approximately 11 minutes and the whole of the play 'A Nice Cup of Tea' runs for a further 27 minutes and is unabridged.
